AutoStar’s Automobile Inventory Management system, called “AIM,” is a complete inventory tracking and auditing system using bar code labels and software that integrates with Fusion.

With AIM, you can complete audits and identify missing inventory much more quickly than with traditional methods. AIM consists of:

• Handheld device that displays inventory information and scans bar codes
• Cradle for the handheld device that interfaces with your AutoStar Fusion software
• Thermal printer and accessories for creating bar code labels

To use the system, simply place the handheld in the cradle and begin downloading the existing inventory data from Fusion to the device. Next, print bar code labels for each vehicle. The weatherproof labels can be placed on the outside of the vehicle for easy reference. When it comes time to audit your inventory, simply use the handheld to scan the labels. No more writing V.I.N. numbers and laboriously taking notes about your stock!

Once all bar codes are scanned, place the device on the cradle to upload the collected information to Fusion. From here you can run reports detailing the location of vehicles as well as identifying any missing inventory.
