AutoStar Solutions Earns High Praise for its 2013 Annual Industry Conference, Innovate
Fort Worth, TX – October 4, 2013 – AutoStar Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of software technology to independent auto dealers and finance companies, held its sixth annual industry conference, Innovate, in Fort Worth, Texas on September 22-25th. Over 400 attendees together with 100 exhibitor attendees gathered at over 90 individual sessions to learn and share the latest industry best practices, compliance updates, and technology breakthroughs. There were independent tracks devoted to compliance, accounting, general industry topics as well as classes specifically designed for AutoStar users.
Allen Dobbins, President and CEO of AutoStar Solutions, kicked off the proceedings by introducing his company’s new flagship dealer management software system, “F2”, which will be launched in early 2014. Dobbins shared that as a direct result of countless man-hours’ worth of research and analysis by an experienced team of software engineers, statisticians, and business analysts, “F2 will provide advanced software capabilities to address the business needs of small, medium, and large scale dealerships and finance companies.”
During the opening session, Dobbins also stated that the company’s investment into offering a complete leasing solution to dealers has been enthusiastically received, as vehicle leasing penetration approaches an all-time high across the industry. Perhaps most exciting of all, Dobbins debuted AutoStar’s new browser-based custom reporting tool, Insight Reporting, which was demoed at the event.
In addition, attendees were also treated to Keynote addresses by well-known industry veterans Brent Carmichael of NCM Associates and Chuck Bonanno of the Leedom Group, as well as a host of informative industry-focused sessions led by some of the most respected experts in Buy Here Pay Here. One of the key sessions at the event was the first ever BHPH industry mock trial, hosted by AutoStar Chief Legal Officer, Steve Levine and veteran attorney Jay Reedy.
“Despite all of the attention paid to the CFPB and other compliance issues, litigation is still the biggest risk independent dealers face. That’s where the money is spent and what robs dealerships of focus,” said Levine. Additional compliance classes included a presentation on recent regulatory developments by Nikki Munro and Eric Johnson of Hudson Cook, Dave Robertson of AFIP discussed Red Flags compliance, and a session on FCRA developments was presented by Gregg Stevens of McGlinchey Stafford.
“We are pleased to provide our attendees with such a thorough and well rounded learning experience”, said Dobbins. “When our clients and the overall industry are successful, we share in that success,” he continued.
Attendees and exhibitors alike heaped praise on their overall experience at Innovate, citing it as one of the best industry conferences they had ever attended. Plans are already underway for next year’s conference, which will once again be held in Fort Worth, Texas in September.
