It also keeps track of co-signers and dependents, prints credit applications, and pulls credit reports.

Desking
Improve your decisioning, and improve the value of your loan portfolio, with Autostar desking. This feature creates a risk score for your customer based upon factors you previously designated, and then it pulls a list of inventory appropriate for that customer. Also provides a target down payment.

Sales Management
Calculate all sales-related information including sales price, trade-in(s), fees, after-market products, and more. This easy-to-use feature allows you to manage pending deals, rollbacks, and secondary product sales.

Laser and Pre-Printed Forms
Print sales-related documents including power of attorney forms, retail installment contracts, title documents, and more. This feature gives you the flexibility to print on pre-printed or plain paper (where allowed by law).

Sales Reports
Produce detailed reports that help you manage and analyze your business. This versatile report generator allows you to scope, tag, sort and group 13 reports containing valuable sales data.

Inventory Reports
Create useful reports related to your inventory. This full-featured report generator lets you scope, tag, sort, and group 13 inventory reports to provide the information you need when you need it.

Sales Tax Reporting
Quickly determine all city, county and state sales taxes owed and print reports using this useful feature.

Individual and Group Security
Maximize the internal security of your Autostar system by restricting access to more than 300 areas within the software. This feature allows you to restrict access to particular functions and screens only to those employees who need it. Access can be granted for particular users or to entire groups of users, such as salespeople and collectors.

System Generated History
Trace all activity on an account using Autostar’s detailed system log. This useful feature provides a complete list of notes added by users as well as system tracking of all changes made to the account, including the date, time, and the user who made the change. This secured set of log notes is valuable for management and legal purposes.

Zip Code Lookup
Improve accuracy and save time by entering your customer’s zip code. This feature automatically populates city, state and county data into the system.

VIN Decoding
Simplify the task of entering vehicle data into the system. The VIN decoder not only validates the VIN, but also it populates available details about the vehicle into the system based upon the VIN.

Tags and Flags
Flag customer accounts to alert users about issues such as bad checks or repossessions. This feature allows you designate which users will see the tags.

Word Processing with Mail Merge
Mass mailing feature allows you to import letters from your word processor and merge with Autostar customer addresses. This tool is ideal for distributing promotional pieces as well as customer communications such as collection notifications.

Receivable Management
Maintain your notes receivable in one place. This complete feature lets you create and buy notes as well as track notes, repossessions, and adjustments. In addition, you can maintain accurate accounting by performing daily and monthly updates of notes receivable. And, use the Contracts-in-Transit option to track payments to wholesale, cash, and outside finance deals. Also allows you to track pickup payments.

Static Pool Analysis
New! Measure and predict the effect of vehicle loan performance on a loan portfolio yield using static pool analysis. This tool can be used to evaluate just about any type of loan pool performance, regardless of the underlying characteristics of the loans in the pool. This analysis can help you detect underlying trends on loan performance.

Collections Management
Keep your customer collections on track and profitable with collection management features that allow you to record customer contact information and collection call results.

Payment Processing
Receive and post customer payments with this easy-to-use feature, which also alerts you to payment due dates, adds late fees, prints payment receipts, and allows you to make contract changes such as posting bad checks, adjusting balances, and exempting late fees. Also prints payment receipts.

Repo Management
New! Full processing of all your repossession information. Includes functionality that allows you to flag a car for repossession, assign a repo agent, block payments for repossessed vehicles, put the vehicle into bad debt status, write off the vehicle, and dispose of the collateral in your accounting records. Also allows you to accelerate the balance and apply the repo proceeds.

Cash Management
Reconcile your cash drawer correctly and efficiently using Autostar’s Reconcile Cash Drawer function, featuring a helpful Reconciliation Report. An important task that is completed at least daily, cash reconciliation can be customized to your needs to be performed by company, lot, or user.

Miscellaneous Balances Management
Add and track miscellaneous balances such as balances for repairs and forced-placed insurance.
